IMPORTANT — IGNITION TIMING & RPM SETTINGS
The KSPARKS CDI Controller is programmable and allows the user to alter ignition advance, timing curves and maximum engine RPM.
KSPARKS recommended settings are application-specific. Settings suitable for a BSA engine may not be suitable for a Norton, JAWA or another motorcycle engine.
KSPARKS will provide recommended/tested baseline settings for supported applications. Increasing ignition advance, maximum RPM, or otherwise operating outside the recommended/tested parameters may cause detonation, overheating, mechanical failure or serious engine damage.
If settings are changed outside the KSPARKS recommended/tested parameters, the user is responsible for establishing that those settings are appropriate for the particular engine, its specification, condition and intended use.
Where there is any uncertainty, the motorcycle/engine manufacturer's specifications or advice from a suitably qualified engine specialist should be followed.
